GLADIATOR Version 1.1
---------------------

As a Predator, you have committed various crimes against your Clan and have been imprisoned in the Jalan Semanggi, a 600 year old decaying Yautja prison. As the unfortunate incarcerated occupant of the dank, reeking confines of Cell No.4, the Yautja Elders have decreed that your fate shall be determined via the local traditional means known as 'Trial by Vermin'. You do have a choice. Stay in your stinking cell to rot and die with guilt in your heart; or, make your way to the Combat Arena and attempt to regain some of your lost dignity and pride before you perish under the razor sharp talons and cruel fangs of the multitude of onrushing captured Xenomorphs released into the Combat Arena for blood sport and brutal Yautja entertainment...

This is a Single Player map of exploration and 'Skirmish' variety. Survive for as long as you possibly can against an infinite number of continually spawning Aliens. Your weapons choice is restricted to Wristblades, Combistick and Netgun. Despite its ranged ability, the Netgun is more of a device rather than a true weapon, so the nature of the conflict is of the 'close quarters combat' variety. You will need to be nimble on your feet and accurate in the use of your weapons. Other items can be found en route from your cell to the Combat Arena to assist you in prolonging your inevitable demise. Use them wisely.

Ultimately, you will not survive the 'Trial by Vermin'; but maybe your passing will be remembered respectfully by your Yautja peers, a tribute to a fellow Clan Member, and how you honourably redeemed yourself in their eyes.

Revision History:
-----------------

Version 1.1:

	* Added: Expanded the initial explorable area, adding some new architectural features.

	* Added: Xenomorph 'crusty bits' now exist the Predalien lair.

	* Added: An additional Praetorian enters the Arena at the 10 minute mark.

	* Added: Brush details 0/1 correctly applied (I think) to all geometry.

	* Added: Scale sprites applied to lighting to give optical coronas to light sources.

	* Changed: The location of some items has been altered.

	* Changed: The additional Combistick in the Guard Area has been replaced with a Speargun.

	* Changed: Rotated the Combat Arena tower 45 degrees. It now looks more dramatic when entering the Combat Arena. It also makes the hanging chain more useful - you can now also access the top of the wrecked APC by jumping from the hanging chain.

	* Changed: Provided infinite Netgun Ammo in the Combat Arena. Makes gameplay more satisfying if you can snare bugs when seriously injured and need to buy some precious time in order to heal yourself.

	* Fixed: Blocked all gaps leading to the Guard Area, making the Disc and PlasmaCaster (and the new Speargun) no longer accessible. Use cheats to access these items, if you must.

Thanx Soroth and BalTek for pointing this issue out.

	* Fixed: Blocked all other accessible areas above all unopenable doors.

	* Improved: Texture alignment looks better in many areas. It could still do with some work, though.

	* Improved: AI now functions better in the Arena. Predaliens no longer perform abrupt 90 degree turns and run up to the wrecked truck and then run blindly on the spot. Aliens can occasionally still get trapped in clusters, though. Not my fault, honest, I blame the AI Volume for this one. Will deal with this when I understand the AI better.

	* Improved: Lighting quality in some areas has been modified.

	* Plus: Many other various small tweaks and adjustments that may or may not be noticable.

Version 1.0:

	* First playable Version 1.0, Released Mid March, 2002.
